Cassie x Q3

I asked Cassie to shoot some photos with me in Old Sacramento so that I could get some more shots in with the Leica Q3. I’ve been absolutely LOVING the Q3 and I want to take it out to shoot whenever I can. Cassie and I have been friends for a long time. We met back in my anime convention going days. Cassie would always have some of the best cosplays at the con. In fact, you may have noticed other photos of Cassie on the site already. She’s a beautiful model with a natural and stunning look. She also makes her own clothing! I love her sense of style and it’s always a pleasure when we can collaborate together on a shoot.

I’ve recently began a new Instagram page for more artistic photos taken with the Leica cameras that I have. This session with Cassie as well as others will be featured there. If you’re interested, the handle for that IG page is @luke.thephotographer. I’d love for you to check it out and give it a follow as it is a very new and not very many people know about it. The Leica cameras that I’ve gotten recently have really inspired me to just go out and shoot again - and not just for paid work or anything like that. The Leicas have given me a little push to go out and photography just for the art of it. I love the feeling that I get with these cameras and can’t wait to share my future work with you.

Aside from featuring models like Cassie, the Instagram will also feature Sacramento prominently. I absolutely love Sacramento and one of my goals is to feature different parts of the city. You’ll find not just the people of Sacramento, but also buildings and different highlights of the area. When I’m out and about, I’ll be keeping an eye out for different parts of the city to capture via still images. To me this is a very exciting new project, and one that I hope many people can enjoy with me.

I’ll leave you with a fun behind the scenes image with Cassie. We were on the Tower Bridge and the wind was really giving us a time there. Rather than just wait for everything to get calm, we were able to get some fun photos of Cassie looking a bit less composed. It’s a fun shot and it was definitely a fun time. Huge thanks to Cassie for always being a willing model. You’ll no doubt see much more of her in the future!
