An Ageless Love

Tammy and Charles had an intimate wedding at the gorgeous Catta Verdera Country Club in Lincoln, Ca. I’ve shot at this venue a few times and it is an absolute job to be at. There are beautiful landscapes all around the facility and the staff will drive you out to the locations with their golf carts. As the COVID-19 restrictions slightly ease in the county, Tammy and Charles were able to have a moderate amount of guests attend their wedding event.

Tammy and Charles are an older couple, but the love they share is fresh and energetic. Both of them are so sweet and absolutely go together in the best way. I could feel the joy from them both as they were excited to make their love official this day. The emotions poured out of them and it was a pleasure capturing them through photography.

The ceremony was very smooth and it was well organized. The staff at Catta Verdera always set things up so that the events run without a hitch. I also appreciated the officiant as she and I were able to chat a bit about the ceremony logistics beforehand. I love it when officiants or DJs take the time to align things with me as it makes my job many times easier.

I armed myself with the holy trinity of event lenses from the Sony system today. I especially loved using the 16-35 G-Master lens I recently purchased. It replaced my 12-24 G-lens that I had been using for wider shots. Though the G-lens is quite a bit wider, the quality of the G-Master is far superior. The G-Master is a lens I can rely on for the highest quality images and also a very nice lens to use in low light as it has a 2.8 max aperture.

Getting close photos was easy using the 70-200 2.8 G-Master lens. This lens really is my bread and butter lens and I use it for so many shots. I have recently been trying to use the 85 1.4 G-Master more, but nothing really beats the 70-200 in versatility. I really want to pick up the new Canon RF version of this lens for the R6. This lens is a must-have for the work that I do.

I had a great day with Charles and Tammy and wish them happiness with each other. I hope that I was able to capture photographs that will bring them joy. If you’re looking for wedding or event coverage, please let me know! I’d be happy to capture your special day!
