Wedding in Wine Country. / by Luke Cheng

My wife and I drove down to Napa, Ca to attend her friends Megan and Steven's wedding. Jenn used to work with Megan at Nugget Market and they became friends there. The wedding took place at her relative's gorgeous house. It was a beautiful place to have a wedding ceremony. Unlike many weddings, this one had only a few seats up front for family to sit. Others were gathered near the back. I used my 70-200mm 2.8 Canon lens to get this particular shot.

Megan hired Jenn to make all the desserts for the wedding. This was Jenn's 4th wedding this summer where she was in charge of desserts. It was very hard work for her, but the results have always been amazing. Here she is in front of the dessert table.

One of my personal favorite items that Jenn makes are her S'mores bars. They may seem simple and maybe even geared for kids, but these bars are simply amazing. I really think she has a hit on her hands with these babies.

Who doesn't like cupcakes? Another hit were these little salted caramel cupcakes. It's a little bit sweet and a little bit savory - a really bang on combination! People were taking these in multiples on their plates.

And of course she did the wedding cake as well. It was a simple but elegant two tiered fondant cake. I'm always amazed at the things Jenn can do. Also, notice the Oakland A's flags in the background? The bride and groom are huge A's fans!

And boom! There they are, just married! Congrats to Megan and Steven on this momentous day for them! It was the perfect day and a perfect place for a wedding. We were so happy to be a part of it!

Of course we had to get a selfie in with the newlyweds! For this photo I used my trusty Sony Nex-5n. This camera has really been a workhorse for me and it is in constant use. The fully tilting tilt screen is perfect for fun photos like this one and others that may need to be taken at difficult angles. My Canon 5d Mark iii is great, but this little Sony works wonders as well.
